Description: Ex-Ray George. 100 graded MS-66, 22 higher at PCGS. The Ray George collection of silver dollars was sold in January 2007, and this 1889-S was not CAC-stickered at that time; CAC began stickering operations in November 2007. Vivid luster is a hallmark for 1889-S, this example gaining the benefit of Arctic-blue nearest the edges, crimson-gold and then peach-bronze on the obverse while bronze-teal and greenish hues dominate the reverse.
