Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1883-CC NGC MS-66
Lot Number: 610
Description: VAM-5C. The VAM guide alludes to how often 1883-CC dies clashed and had to be repolished -- a very good explanation as to why this example appears fully semi-prooflike, with mirrors barely missing out on a full designation. Further, the strike seems typical of later dies, bringing up good, but not ultra-sharp details. An assemblage of minute surface nicks preclude upgrade but overall, this is a dazzling off-white example with considerable eye-appeal.
