Description: Relatively scarce off a low mintage of 72,500, the 1911-D half-eagle is not nearly as scarce and in-demand as its quarter-eagle cousin in higher UNC grades but is more valuable by comparison at AU levels. This example retains some satiny texture in recessed areas while wide-open fields take on pale golden rub. Honestly worn only with no surface damage at all.
