Description: Another large silver ruble from Russia, this 1726 issue of Catherine I (the Great) is a star for the grade. Previous cleaning has now retoned with the faintest of bluish sunset colors. Where is the wear on the reverse? It’s there, but hardly what one would expect from an Extremely Fine grade. An abundance of detail in the Empress’ hair and clothing, and the double-headed eagle reverse. (JS)
