Description: What’s so great about this silver ruble of Russia’s Peter I? The undated (1720) coin was issued near the end of Peter the Great’s victory in the Great Northern War over Swedens’ Charles XII. Russia secured its dominance of the eastern Baltic Sea, and the coin in many ways represents the height of the czar's successes. The coin offered exhibits circulation as to be exoected with the assigned grade, the slate gray surfaces hiding nothing. (JS)
