Lot #: Go
Lot Title: China - 1929-dated Sun Yat-Sen Fantasy Imitative Type $1- NGC AU-58
Lot Number: 136
Description: Another imitative fantasy of China’s early 20th-century coinage, this 1929-dated issue replicates the Sun Yat-Sen dollar. At first glance it’s obviously an imitation, though that won’t be a barrier to bidding. The uncommonly encountered delicacy features a charming, almost caricature image of the ruler, against a smooth nickel-white field. (JS)
