Description: The 1875 Trade dollar occurs less frequently than any other 1870's Philadelphia dates save the virtually non-existent 1879. The 1875 boasts a smaller mintage of 218,200 pieces, and even fewer exist in the more coveted type I/II variety that is currently shown. Only 22 examples have been certified by PCGS in MS-64 between both obverse/reverse varieties of this year, and only seven total examples exist higher at all at PCGS. Faint lilac coloration softly hugs surfaces while bountiful gleam is emitted from radiant facades. (CE)
