Description: Civil War proof quarters are not often found well preserved, with or without cameo contrast. Here is a low-contrast example with extensive sienna-violet and rose-blue toning on the obverse and lemon and orange-blue on the reverse. The latter side also appears more vibrant by comparison to the obverse. Extremely well struck -- even more so than expected of a proof striking.
