Description: 49 graded MS-66+, 56 higher at NGC. Stupendous quality for a date that is generally not that rare, 1936-D becomes very elusive at MS-66, a grade surpassed here by virtue of a "plus". An absolutely radiant, pristine silver-white coin, the sun's face and the obverse right field both seem utterly immune to bagmarks, though a high-intensity loupe finds whisper-light grazes. And of course, the torso is a trouble spot for this issue though in this case, very few small contact marks will be found.
