Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1893-S PCGS VF-20 CACCAC
Lot Number: 687
Description: A trifle thin yet indisputably attractive, the delicate layer of tin-grey patina looks perfectly congruent with the assigned VF-20 grade. Despite moderate wear, the coin can readily be authenticated by locating the small diagonal die line left of center within the bow on the reverse. Given the fair amount of use, both sides display uncommonly smooth texture as well as a hint of charcoal toning buried into the recesses. Two delicate nicks immediately left of the date, and a least a dozen curious, light machine-like abrasions left of the eagle have become nicely diminished by the patina.
