Description: VAM-5. CAC was far more worried about the severity of cleaning ("harshly") than they were the attribution which helps affirm authentication. Despite the heavy disclaimer, the hairlines do not seem that much more worrisome than what is frequently encountered for near mint-state examples of 1889-CC, or any other key. Ample luster remains visible although the surface certainly appears overly white and somewhat washed out. An ideal coin for album placement -- and then a lot of patience while the surface takes time to recover.
