Description: VAM-7, the 8/7 date with reverse of 1878. In this die-state, double diagonal clash lines descend down and left of the corner of Liberty's chin. The strike borders upon absolute completion if not for very faint planchet striations above the ear that were not entirely eradicated. Clean fields on the obverse contrast with very few small abrasions in the reverse fields.
