Description: Judd-208, R.4. Obviously excepting the date, the obverse die is the same as that used for 1859 cents while the reverse differs from the finalized dies by implementing clusters of five leaves, instead of six. While not truly a rare pattern, the certified population remains stubbornly low even though many early small-cent collectors include an example with their sets. This one does not disappoint, boasting lovely honey-tan patina and a couple of obverse carbon flecks.
