Description: Mintage: 2300. Despite a decent rate of survival, the 1889 draws in collectors for both the last-of-year type as well as the preposterously low mintage. The very definition of AU-58, this fully lustrous example displays no wear on the reverse, and the merest whisper of finger friction on the obverse which manifests as a slightly greyish overtone.
