Description: KM#376.2, Durango mint. The famous and popular "hookneck" eagle (used only from 1823-25) is accompanied by NGC's so-called "folded snake", the key characteristic being the sinusoid design of the snake motif. Atypical for the type, the eagle displays strong breast feathers but also noticeable wear on his lower portrait.
