Description: The Opa Collection. Instantly recognizable as a key date in UNC grades, certified population in the hundreds totally belies the difficulty of finding a truly "nice" 1872 cent. Though virtually no brown toning shows at all, the reddish color has depreciated substantially into an attractive deep crimson-orange hue, surrounded by greenish flickers. The lovely, frosted surface took on an unexpectedly powerful four-diamond strike that only further reinforces the marvelous appeal of this oh-so-difficult Indian cent.
