Description: The Opa Collection. Briggs 2-B. A moderately rusted obverse die was refinished prior to striking this blazing aluminum-white Carson City quarter, and both 7s in the date have strongly repunched tails, while "CC" are set far apart on the reverse. What is rather fascinating about this example (besides the obvious choice quality) is that neither side shows die-cracks typically seen for 2-B. A nice earlier die-state coin that provides loads of fun for the die-marriage researcher.
