Description: Automatically scarce just on account of the low mintage of 27-thousand pieces, the very low certified population overall suggests a high attrition rate as well. Because so few mint-state examples actually survive (certified populations inflated by repeat grading incidents), strong AU examples are always in demand. Careful examination of protected areas on the obverse suggest this side may have been originally somewhat prooflike while the reverse still boasts unexpectedly bold pinwheel luster.
