Description: Briggs 7-F. 3 graded MS-63, 6 higher at NGC. Common as can be in circulated grade, the 1856-O was clearly not saved in large numbers based on very rare status as mint-state at both grading services. This is a very bright, shimmering white example with prodigious luster off of clashed dies. While not often mentioned, obverse stars on the left are rather grotesquely repunched for this obverse die.
