Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1889-O PCGS MS-65
Lot Number: 633
Description: This is a flamboyant and phenomenally beautiful New Orleans dollar that must be seen to be believed, as it surely must have spent many decades in an album to acquire this kind of deeply saturated coloration. Crayola-magnitude hues begin with teal, midnight-blue and crimson-orang and eventually morph into lovely chartreuse and silvery green near the obverse center. Even stronger and more vivid rainbow colors earthquake the reverse, flinging out bands of sunset-gold, blazing cinnamon-cobalt, cyan, chartreuse-green and magenta. An astounding coin, on top of which one finds a very decent strike for 1889-O as well as technical charms that quickly lead to the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award.
