Essentially non-toned, the surface takes pride in a near-pristine appearance with unusually few abrasions in the fields for such deeply flashing mirrors. Rather, a few stray linear nicks show on the cheek and eagle's breast. Excellent highpoint definition prevails -- a rather unexpected bonus for a New Orleans dollar of this vintage.
