Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1880/79-O NTC/as described
Lot Number: 595
Description: VAM-4, Top-100. Cataloger's grade ESTIMATE: [MS-64+] and an astounding find within an NTC slab, as the obverse fully grades gem (the caveat being that the cataloger saw the coin "through the plastic" and without examining the edge), while nicks and abrasions in the reverse right field may limit the grade. A small, abraded area above Liberty's portrait also requires mention. While a thin blanket of almond-grey blankets the surface, some orange toning on the rims deftly sets off outstanding semi-cameo eye-appeal.
PCGS #: 7116
Estimate: $1,250-$1,400
Lot Status: This lot is not yet open for bidding.

Please Note: An 18% Buyers' Premium is added to the hammer price of all lots in this sale.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
