Description: During the time of the American Revolution there was not yet a central bank so multiple types of currency circulated including Continental currency and Colonial currency. There is a total of nine such PMG certified examples in this group lot and the four Continental currency issues includes a 1778 $7 Yorktown F-12, a 1775 $8 VF-30, a 1776 $1/6 F-15, and a 1776 $8 AU-53. The remaining five issues are Colonial currency and includes a 1780 $1, a 1775 20 Schillings, a 1777 Six Pence, and a 1777 Four Pence. A lone uncertified example is a 1775 4 Schilling (ck).
