Description:	Newcomb-2, and unusual for the date in that a very good quality planchet managed to evade the environmental effects commonly seen for 1821. What was not avoided was some mishandling during commerce that imparted a pinscratch in front of the nose and a handful more vague hairline-thin abrasions on the portrait. Fortunately, surprisingly decent eye-appeal carries the day and suggests to the cataloger an EAC estimate of F15.
