Description: Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Sheldon-294, crosslet 4, early dies. A remarkably sharp strike invoked pinpoint accurate details from the dies, with denticles that would have been fully delineated if not for a slightly off-center presentation. Several small nicks on and in front of the neck are of no problematic consequence at the cataloger's grade [XF/altered surface], but observers will note an unusually low-contrast, ultra-fine matte surface on both sides. An unexpectedly appealing classic head example despite any potential modest faults.
