Description: 6 graded AU-53, 48 higher at PCGS. Scarcer of the two obverse varieties for 1840-O, and very difficult to locate in mint-state such that all properly graded AU examples are desirable. Only minimal luster remains on the obverse while the reverse provides more energy, the whole wrapped up in slightly dense yolk-grey surrounded by deeper bluish hue.
