Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1896 PCGS MS-65 (rattler)
Lot Number: 714
Description: Annals At Phoenix Collection. Sensational eye-appeal earns the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award right off the bat for a Morgan dollar generally considered rather common, but not so with such astounding color. Clearly extracted from album placement after decades of toning, both sides display concentric Crayola colors that almost defy description. Beginning at the obverse rim, crimson-magenta quickly evolves into chartreuse, yellow, sea-green, turquoise-blue and violet-grey toning. Reverse colors differ to surprising degree, beginning with deep ocean-blue, midnight, cinnamon-red, and almond-orange. On a technical basis, the coin features a moderately successful strike and luxuriously bold luster.
