Description: Cheddars de Voirs Collection. A trio of quarter-eagles present nicely for the collector focused on this very difficult series. The first two examples are green label holders and include: 1873 "open 3" (dusky reddish-gold and extremely well struck but showing a couple of more noticeable abrasions) and 1873 "closed 3" (greyish overtone to the overall golden hue and also showing a very good strike). Accompanying is 1873-S (modest wear and interesting ruby-gold patina throughout). Three coin lot.
