Lot Title: 1920 U.S. Philippines Woodrow Wilson Silver Medal PCGS MS-64
Lot Number: 287
Description: Ga Ha Ha Consignment. HK-449, R.4 in silver. 23 graded MS-64, 10 higher at PCGS. Struck to commemorate opening of the Manila Mint in 1920, which was the first and only U.S. Branch mint located outside of the United States proper. Manila struck coinage from then until 1945 when it was destroyed during the closing days of World War II, after Japan had seized the mint for production since 1941. Blistering luster generates adequate eye-appeal, along with pleasing vintage patina for this hefty specimen.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
