Description: While not near full-head accolades, 1928-D nevertheless features a very good strike and exhilarating, bright platinum luster despite a small dark toning splotch on the obverse rim at 8:00. 1929 accompanies, and actually enjoys an even better strike than it companion, but a noticeable splotch of ebony-tobacco toning descends from the eagle's breast. Two coin lot.
