Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1795 3 Leaves PCGS VF-20
Lot Number: 451
Description: Bolender-5, BB-27, very early die-state(?) The reverse should have a brief line (die crack or possibly engraving line) extending the end of the bottom left stem, but it flat-out does not exist for this example. Further, the tops of the reverse's peripheral letters are not drawn to the rim at all as it is on Bowers' die-state I examples, nor is there any sign of a die crack connecting "IC" in AMERICA. Perhaps enough wear occurred to erase such characteristics, but this is not a heavily worn example. The most common 1795 die-marriage, but a coin well worth time in observation by a specialist.
