Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1906 PCGS PR-64CAM
Lot Number: 267
Description: Mintage: 160. 11 graded PR-64 CAM, 24 higher at PCGS. Expertly struck, each side displays fantastic definition worthy of the finest proof striking, although this is a date that is typically well struck for circulation also. PCGS designated the cameo contrast although it is technically fainter than some taken off of earlier dies. That said, cameo contrast was the rule for proofs struck prior to 1902 whereas one cannot expect the same degree of contrast on later proofs. As befits the grade, examination of the surface reveals a limited smattering of wispy hairlines, as well has hints of greyish haze around the devices, but there is no major contact at all to report. A tri-threaded strikethrough emanates from the period left of the denomination.
