Lot Title: 1922-D Peace dollar with a one inch cracked planchet PCGS MS-62
Lot Number: 164
Description: Shenandoah Collection. An astonishing mint error, Denver struck this dollar on a vastly cracked flan, and how the planchet survived striking pressure without breaking apart is almost miraculous. Grading matters little in the presence of such a nifty error, but for accuracy's sake, this would be a choice-plus example had some milky haze not settled over both sides.
Estimate: $400-$500

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
