Description: Die erosion over the course of seemingly countless strikes lead to this infrequently seen No “AW” variety of the 1944 Walking Liberty half-dollar. This particular example boasts all of the trappings of a Choice Uncirculated example but a pesky wheel mark keeps it from being wholly original. ANACS certified this particular example as BREEN-5207 “No AW” Counting Wheel Damage MS-60 Details. Still a very attractive example for the type. Population census ANACS & NGC only 7 coins total in mint state. (ck).
