Description: The First Through Last Collection. Overton-116 (R.3). Proof and prooflike examples exist for O-116, of which this example is neither, but it does possess nearly the same needle-sharp details as might be seen on a specimen striking. Very slight weakness shows at the extreme relief areas of the middle curls and at the right (observed) talon. Marvelous frosted texture, so desirable for the type, benefits from soft champagne brightness and excellent preservation.
