Description: Overton-102, curl base 2. While the more common of the overdate logotypes (the square base 2 being relatively somewhat scarcer), the curl base logotype proves to be very popular with collectors, especially for attractive examples such as this. Attractive luster and satin-laden obverse fields appeal immediately to the eye. This example appears to be slightly softer in strike than many as it shows modest weakness left of the shield. The interiors are broadly lustrous and bright, surrounded by a blend of copper-gold and indigo toward the rims.
