Description: High Promises Collection. FS-801. Type II / II, large mintmark. The cataloger's personal favorite amongst all doubled-dies for the series, the reverse shows outstanding spread at 420 GRAINS and each of the arrows above. A curious die defect clings to the right edge of the eagle's wing and looks somewhat like a garden slug with a bit of imagination. This is a delightful, fully choice example that exudes potent, slightly subdued luster beneath russet-copper and cobalt-jade toning.
