Description: Loughborough Consignment. Judd-60, die alignment I (coin alignment), name on base, so-called "original" strike. More precisely, Liberty's head is opposite "DO" in DOLLAR. All of these should have a plain edge, since the reeded edge collars were not yet available when these were struck, and NGC's "EdgeView" holder obscures much of the edge, but one almost sees partial lettering and the coin deserves to be professionally re-examined "outside the holder". That being said, a neat, round plug just right of Liberty's head shows plainly and led to the need to re-engrave DOLL on the reverse after repair was completed.
