Description: Offshore Technician Consignment. 1 graded MS-67+, 1 graded MS-67+ "star", three higher (all MS-68) at NGC. Repunched date. Regardless of how one treats a "star", this coin falls within the top five 1907 half-eagles known to NGC. Generally one of the most common dates within the series, the 1907 behaves as do many of the other "common" dates -- becoming suddenly rare at or above the superb grade level.

Classic for this issue, two digits are repunched within the date. First, an extra line adheres to the bottom of "1", and next, an extra outline and serifs show atop "7", affirming adjustment while the die was being hand-finished. "MS-67+" does not denote a completely flawless coin, and with persistence, extremely faint evidence of contact can be found. Two microscopic nicks atop the edge of Liberty's hair join some very slight noise beneath the right end of the scroll on the reverse to help deny absolute perfection, but nothing can deny the incredible quality enjoyed overall.
