Description: Alvin Tarry Consignment. 29 graded MS-67+, 6 graded MS-68 at PCGS. A semi-famous example was graded MS-68 at NGC and then crossed to PCGS at the same grade circa 2002, and it had a similar appearance to this borderline very-superb-gem presented here surprisingly in a non-shield slab. Unusually vibrant (for the type) album-colored crescents extend into the peripheries of this otherwise steely grey representative. An exceptional strike conjoins with full, flowing luster and blatantly original surfaces to create impeccable appeal. Twin minuscule abrasions land on the sun while a trio of inconspicuous reeding marks suspend over the right (observed) arm of the wreath on the reverse.
