Description: Jerry Odom Collection. KM#Y243.1, China-Szechuan, Hsüan-t'ung (1909-1911). Inverted "A" in PROVINCE variety. The cataloger completely disagrees with the need for a PCGS "cleaned" disclaimer as this coin displays reasonably original slate-grey patina and hints of two-toned dynamics. The fleeting hairlines seen under a strong lamp hardly exceed that seen for most of these oft-cleaned dollars. Peripheral weakness is almost always seen for this issue and affects the top of most letters on the obverse.
