Description: Bert Davies Collection. Virtually the entire surface displays astoundingly undiminished copper-orange color such that the coin appears to have been struck on this morning's shift at San Francisco. That said, a significant carbon spot cannot be missed on the reverse. Absent that spot, the magnificent luster, combined with that color and amazingly contact-free surfaces would surely have placed this key cent into the "superb unc" category.
