Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1878-CC PCGS MS-65
Lot Number: 553
Description: Ms. Anna's Collection. VAM-13 has two noticeable die gouges in the eagle's right (observed) wing that make attribution a snap. Rarity plays no role in the value of the 1878-CC as it is a very common coin even at the present gem grade level, but this is no ordinary example. An eye-arresting array of sunset-gold, violet-orange, cyan and honey-plum decorate both sides, taking on a particularly mesmerizing pattern for the obverse. Phenomenally well struck and incorrigibly lustrous in every regard.
