Description:	Bert Davies Collection. A pair of early year issued United States mint sets make up this group lot that includes a 1953 and a 1954 example. The 1953 set displays a fairly uniform toning pattern that is primarily comprised of speckled russet tones complimented by golden peripheral features. Conversely, the 1954 set offers a much brighter backdrop to varying splashes of royal purples complimented by russet peripheral features. A very nice pair (ck).
