Description: MTGC Consignment. Judd-1498 (R.7-), Pollock-1651. When seen, which is rarely, even in proof format these tend to be considerably mellowed from original red. In this case, the coin almost appears to have been struck in pewter, as vintage patina takes on deep greyish overtones. Exquisite detailing falls right in line with expectations of a proof striking, along with definite cameo inflection. The cataloger could find no meaningful sign of contact and even a couple of extremely faint hairlines out in the obverse right field offer nothing at all to complain about.
