Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1925-D PCGS MS-65
Lot Number: 338
Description: Through the 1920s, Denver was the only branch mint to strike quarter-eagles, and then for only a single year. Subsequently, the issue was saved to such an extent as to be one of the most common type representatives in UNC. Here is a blazing example, replete with intense luster and outstanding sharpness. Curiously, an extensive area at the left and bottom of the reverse was poorly struck, replaced instead by a hypnotic series of minute vertical lines.
