Description: Big Sky Collection. FS-106, Type-1 "doubled die obverse" and low-relief reverse. Those not familiar with the series might fail to recognize that the present Eisenhower dollar is considered THE KEY to an advanced collection. It features a doubled-die obverse, most evident at IGWT, on the date and especially at the mintmark, as well as a peg leg "R" in the also-doubled LIBERTY. Further, the reverse features a very rare implementation of a repolished circulation strike die with low-relief on the planet Earth, identified by a lack of outer detail from 9:00 to 12:00 (which creates an odd non-circular shape). Higher grade examples than this exist, but as more and more collectors enter into this accessible series, the key(s) only continue to escalate in value.
