Description:	Junior Decker Collection. KM#$101, Lima mint, Charles IV. Cataloger's grade: Choice XF. Exceptional royal gold and orange hue permeate the surface, thinning across most of the field area where light circulation has taken its toll. As a hefty coin of the empire, 8-escudos frequently show larger abrasions, yet somehow, this example manage to circulate and still escape any mentionable surface nicks. The planchet was annealed improperly as can be shown by subtle hairline laminations off to the obverse right.
