Description: The Blackhawk Collection. "Razor sharp" barely begins to tell the story of how incredibly well struck this bison nickels proves to be under examination. Each strand of hair stands out with complete, careful delineation and if there is any hint of softness anywhere, it might be found at the extreme lower ends of the obverse ribbons. Indeed, the matte texture has been so carefully recreated that the fields seem to display innumerable tiny points of satiny granularity. Perhaps two to three minute carbon flecks gather around the Indian's nose. A true beast of coin and magnificent in every possible way!
