Description: Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-103, "punctuated date". While not truly the early die-state, this example was struck off of early enough dies that the dot remains visible, tiny though it may be. As a consequence of well-used dies, details were not struck up to the level of precision occasionally seen on exceptional specimens, but pleasing flowline luster nevertheless roams freely between well-defined stars on the obverse. A blatantly original half-dollar, ample magenta-grey and rose centers are surrounded by bright violet-orange and chartreuse colors.
